This month we are proud to highlight Jackie Laramee, President of NDC Commercial Construction .
Sixteen years ago, Jackie began working in the field in the carpentry crew for Network Interiors, a commercial metal framing and drywall company. She met her business partner, Melissa Sheffy, 20 years ago while volunteering at the Southington Cheshire Community YMCA. Together, they have driven the growth of NDC Commercial Construction and in 2018, Jackie became the majority owner. Jackie has received numerous awards for her efforts including the CT ABC Outstanding Women in Construction Award (2024), Central Connecticut State University Stu Bennett Alumni Award (2024), Hartford Business Journal 40 Under 40 (2021), Central Connecticut State University Outstanding Alumnus Award (2020), Southington Leading Ladies Award (2019), and YMCA Alliance Volunteer Award (2016).
In her spare time, Jackie enjoys reading, traveling and drinking coffee. She also serves on the board of CBIA and the State of Connecticut’s Electrical Licensing Board and has previously served as the board chair of the Construction Education Center and the Southington-Cheshire Community YMCA. In the future, Jackie hopes to grow her business and ensuring that her team has long-term careers that will grow with the company.
