After completing the hair and make-up programs at Paul Mitchell School in Schenectady, Keely Tumey opened her own studio, the Balayage Bar Salon in Freehold. While she specializes in balayage, blonding and hair extensions, she also sells locally made skin and beauty products, candles, and trinkets at her studio and loves to support other small businesses whenever she can.
For the past 2 years, Keely has organized a Toys for Tots drive at her studio, and she also recently collected funds for the Greenville Food Pantry and matched the donations.
In her spare time, Keely enjoys spending time with her kids, hiking, reading, needleworking, bread making and gardening. In the future, she would like to expand her salon.
The team at KathodeRay applauds Keely for her hard work to start and run a successful business, and for her activism in our community!
